This area enjoys micro-climates and unique limestone soil conditions that enable it to grow high quality grapes and produce world class wines.
Prince Edward County has many operating wineries, many of them small boutique style family run operations where you’ll be able to interact directly with the winemakers, making it unique from other Ontario wine regions.
“The County” is only a 2 hour drive east of Toronto, just south of Trenton and Belleville. Most wineries are within a short drive from each other, and the area hosts many wonderful restaurants, farmer’s markets, and other area attractions!
