I just wanted to say thank you for investing the time into the planning of such a well rounded

and non intimidating wine course. The pace was relaxed and full of great little tidbits that I didn't expect.  It was a pleasure from start to finish.

Like a lot of people, I enjoyed drinking wine but was getting bored with the $10 bottles I habitually bought.  I wanted to go up to the next level but didn't want to spend more per bottle of wine without first knowing how to appreciate what I would be buying and whether I would genuinely appreciate the difference.  I'm happy to say that the Global Wine Tour gave me the wine tasting experience and education I was looking for and I now feel confident that I can 'drink up' to the next level, so to speak.   The classes were a pleasure and an education, thanks to Steve Thurlow.  I have a great deal more appreciation for the art of wine-making and the people in the industry.  Looking forward to delving deeper into the world of wines.

We all really enjoyed the class. And while it is pretty hard to have a bad time drinking wine, it was a real pleasure to meet and spend time with David Lawrason and Steve Thurlow. Their knowledge is outstanding – second to none.  However my favourite part of the course was how the informal setting, and small attendance allowed lots of time for interesting conversation, not necessarily confined to the particular wine we were drinking. I loved the little side stories and trivial history that flowed from both Steve and David. Some of those stories will stay with me forever.  Thank you again for putting on the course.  My Thursday nights since, have paled in comparison.

Global wine tour was great.  I have a better understanding of what I'm buying when I'm at the LCBO, a better understanding of food pairings and a better understanding of what to expect when a wine is uncorked after being stored long term.  I'd recommend it for anyone starting a collection or just interested in knowing more about wines.

Global Wine Tour was a fantastic learning experience for me.  I am new to the wine world and was overwhelmed with all the different producers, grapes, countries, and regions.  Steve and David were very informative and insightful.  I was able to not only discover the wines that I enjoyed but also am able to open up a bottle of wine and match it to different foods.  I highly recommend the course to anyone just starting to discover the wonderful world of wine.

I just wanted to write and say thank you for everything. You took great care of my friends and I prior to our arrival to last night's event and our evening of wine did not disappoint.  We loved the experience.  It was a great deal of fun and exposed us to wines we otherwise would never had discovered (including a white I actually liked!).  Steve was extremely enjoyable and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The information Steve provided was fantastic and the package you put together for us is something I can't wait to read. Please keep me informed about upcoming events as my friends and I have every intention to return and I'm looking to invite more friends to future events (hope you don't mind having a bunch of "youngin's" at these trips!). Karen and I attended a structured wine tasting event at Global wine tour hosted by Steven Thurlow from Wine Access magazine. The event was held at the Fine Wine Reserve which is a wine storage facility for individuals. The event was very well done with a group of 14 (a full house for this venue). They provided a few foods to show how certain foods can complement and soften certain wines. I would definitely recommend these guys and will go again. These guys are holding different country events as the year goes on. Their next event is on Argentina. We were told they plan to do a BC wine event in the future. That would be awesome! One of the things they did in this event was to taste items that are available (to some extent) at the LCBO. This is great! Means you can run right out and grab some! Onto the wines. They tasted 4 whites and 4 reds. Steven guided us through a 3 hour long tour of New Zealand. His knowledge is extensive. I was in awe of how much detail he had about the country, the wines and vineyards. He had a formal power point presentation to guide us through the tasting. It was a sit down event. I was left wondering how many countries can this fellow possibly know in this much detail? Astonishing! I wanted to say thanks again for the event last night. It was well done and very informative.
