You can host the “Introduction To Wine Tasting” workshop in your home, for up to 12 people! This wine tasting workshop caters to those who have discovered a passion for wine, but find themselves lacking in knowledge on the subject and want to learn the basic fundamentals of wine tasting and noble grape varieties.

Have David Calado, Global Wine Tour’s Founder, in your home with you and your friends/family as he takes you all on a 3.5 to 4 hour tasting workshop, teaching you the fundamentals of tasting and analyzing 8 noble variety wines through the introduction of the world’s most respected wine analyzing tool, the “Systematic Approach To Tasting”. You are all treated to a tasting flight of 8 noble grape variety wines, and as you are tasting each one, you are provided with  a visual presentation where you will learn about each of the noble grape varieties and how climate, geography, and wine production methods impact the wine being tasted.

You will learn how to taste wine on the basic level, and how acidity, oak, tannins, colour, fruit characteristics and other components  impact the wine and its finished quality. You will understand what to look for in a quality wine, and you’ll learn the wine lingo to better communicate your tastes to others.

The In-Home workshop is available on Saturdays and Sundays, anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area. The fee charged for this includes a travel distance up to 40 km from downtown Toronto. A small nominal travel fee is added if the distance to your home is greater. Examples of some done outside of Toronto includes Hamilton, Dundas, Pickering, Aurora, Mt. Albert, Milton, and even Fort Erie! Just contact us to discuss if you’re located outside of Toronto!

The registration fee for this is only $499 (+ HST) and includes:

1. A flight of 8 noble variety wines
